Valle Crucis Winter Weekends 2016The Mast Farm Inn & Over Yonder winter lodging & dining benefit series. The series enables you to enjoy classic North Carolina foods, spirits, craft beers, wines, while giving back to local non-profit organizations at no cost to you. On the contrary you benefit from our lowest available rate plan, and we donate five percent of our sales to five Western North Carolina non-profit associations.

While the two night lodging packages below are available at highly favorable rates for these weekends, you do not have to be a lodging guest at The Mast Farm Inn to attend these events. Inn guests, local diners, traveling diners, and their guests, are equally welcome. Walk-ins are also welcome. "Valle Crucis Winter Weekends 2016" is a unique opportunity to participate and support this community-focused series of special events, while enjoying innovative interpretations of classic North Carolina meals by Executive Chef Andrew Long. Each weekend will feature a special menu, will benefit a High Country non-profit, feature a North Carolina food, spirit, beer, and wine and their local suppliers. Each weekend in the series will be repeated twice. See calendar & schedule below.

The series has five sets of weekends, each presented twice throughout the months of January, February, and March: The Chicken & Dumplings Weekend, The Mountain Trout Weekend, The Pot Pie Weekend, The Heritage Pork Weekend, and The Meat & Potatoes Weekend.
The concept is simple and straightforward. On the following winter weekends, on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays
JANUARY • 8, 9, 10th • 15, 16, 17th • 20, 23, 24th
FEBRUARY • 5, 6, 7th • 19, 20, 21st • 26, 27, 28th
MARCH • 4, 5, 6th • 11, 12, 13th • 18, 19, 20th • 25, 26, 27th
The Mast Farm Inn will offer special reduced rate lodging packages & Over Yonder will feature a themed menu of North Carolina classics, paired with a high-quality NC craft beers, wines, and spirits, created from NC local ingredients from NC local suppliers. Both lodging and dining represent great value. The lodging packages, based on our teacher’s rates, are priced at our absolute lowest rates. They are 2 night packages and available for any two consecutive nights: Thursday & Friday nights, Friday & Saturday nights, or Saturday & Sunday nights. For each of the ten winter weekends above, five percent of our gross lodging & dining sales for the weekend, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, both at The Mast Farm Inn and at Over Yonder, will be donated to a local non-profit. We stress that the proceeds will be calculated from the total gross sales at both companies for the weekend, not just from sale of the featured services, items & products presented here. Yes, five percent of the whole shebang at both.

The menus, ingredients, wines, craft beers, and spirits at the time you are viewing this page are as designed and planned. In all likelihood all will be available on the day you dine with us. Please note however that while all menus will be essentially as presented here, we may make minor changes depending on availability. Some ingredients, wines, craft brewers or spirits for example may be unavailable depending on consumption or inability to get immediate resupply, and may require a minor change in recipes. In cases where that may occur, we will propose numerous alternatives of similar kinds and in the same culinary spirit.

The series will be featured on both
The Mast Farm Inn and Over Yonder websites, via mailings and social media. There will be one page on each website which features the overview of the ten weekends, and one page for each of the five in the series which features that specific event. We hope you will attend, and any effort at helping present the event through your social media, and any other means you feel would benefit the events and non-profits are greatly appreciated. And For suppliers: If there are specific products you would like to showcase, please let us know soon so we can update menus and event materials.
